documentary by Henning Christiansen

Mike Bouchet’s ‚swimming house‘ for the 53rd Venice Biennial attracted some attention, last but not least by sinking spectacularly at the Biennial premises. The film tells the story of this prefabricate American home from the beginning of construction works up to the final exhibition at the Schirn museum, where the remains of the house were showcased. The outcome is a sometimes funny, sometimes sad documentary that delivers exemplary insight into the production processes of contemporary art. Additionally, it is the story of a great adventure that thrilled and moved all involved throughout its duration.
